My daughter is nearly 7. She knows all of the basics for reading, but struggles to actually put the sounds together in her mind to make the words. She also gets frustrated when reading. She's been using this about a week, and she really seems to enjoy using this app, she surpasses her timed "reading goals" because it makes reading fun, it's already building confidence in her reading skills.

I really think that this will get her where she needs to be before 2nd grade next year. My 8 year old is hyperlexic and has been reading since age 4, but struggles with the comprehension parts of reading. This challenges and teaches her as well. Very good program so far. Worked better for us than hooked on phonics, which is more aimed toward letter sounds rather than reading and comprehending full words and stories.
